November 18th, 2020 - COVID-19 Update
Hello church family,
After much prayer, consideration, and counsel, we have decided to pause our in-person services for the next three Sundays. It is our desire to be empathetic and conscientious toward the needs of our community, our frontline workers, and our first responders by helping mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
We have strategized as a team how we can still push forward as a church by doing services and outreach differently for the next three weeks. Things we will still be doing, but differently, include:
Angel Tree: We will schedule a time for ornament pick-up on Friday and Saturday, November 20th and 21st from 11am-1pm. If there are ornaments that are not picked up, a second time will be scheduled for the following Saturday.
Communion: We will be taking communion this Sunday, November 22nd. You can pick up communion from the church Saturday during Angel Tree pickup times. Or, just gather the bread and juice at home before service Sunday.
Movie Nights: We will still be having our Wednesday movie nights, just not in our physical location. Even though we will be distant from one another, we will have a time Wednesday night that we will be live on Facebook engaging those who are actively watching together at home. We encourage you all to join us! As a fundraiser, the youth ministry will be providing options to order a snack-pack for you and your family to watch the movie together.
Be the Church: If you are able, get engaged in actively supporting our community by helping local restaurants and their employees stay strong during this time by ordering take-out and leaving extravagant tips. It’s a way to help those that are not going to be able to work as many hours, or at all, during this time.
This year has been filled with uncertainty, confusion, and even fear; but as Christians we must face these difficulties with worship, prayer, faith, and wisdom. I believe that by doing what we are doing that we can come back bolder, stronger, and more passionate for Christ than ever before.
We will be back in person on Sunday, December 13th and fully energized for what God has in store!
