CHRISTMAS CARD

This Christmas season, as we celebrate the birth of Christ, we are reminded of the peace and comfort Jesus brings to all of those who call upon His name. This year has been filled with great difficulty and loss for many, and at times the struggles we have faced have felt overwhelming and disorienting. It is during these times that we have learned to cling to the hope Jesus brought over 2,000 years ago.
A song we often sing during the Christmas season is, “O Holy Night.” The words remind us that Jesus is “a thrill of hope” in which “the weary world rejoices.” In Christ, we have the answer this world needs. Where there is pain, loss, fear, darkness, and confusion—Jesus brings healing, restoration, faith, light, and clarity.
This Christmas, we as a staff would like to encourage you to share the hope you have in Christ with someone you encounter. Whether that be a family member, a grocery store clerk, or a friend—share his love with someone. “Truly He taught us to love one another,” the song says. We can share this love by spreading kindness and joy this Christmas season.
As you share His love, we would also encourage you to share the story of Jesus with someone. In the chaos of shopping, presents, and figuring out family get-togethers (or the lack thereof this year), remind someone that Jesus is quite literally, “the reason for the season.” When we do this, we bring peace to the chaos of our world, and we shine the vibrant light of Jesus to those in need of His love.
With 2021 right around the corner, we are reminded that through God we have hope that “a new and glorious morn” is coming. As a church family, let’s rise up together and seize the opportunity 2020 has given us to help bring in “the largest harvest of souls this planet has ever seen.” If we all do our part, God can use us to accomplish His mission on the earth, and we will see together his kingdom reign “on earth as it is in heaven.”
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
